Spray-type habit functions as a filler flower.
Cut individual stems for design work or use as a bunch. Semidouble 1–1 1/2" blooms in red, rose, deep rose, scarlet, blue, white, and blue-tipped and rose-tipped whites. Each plant bears dozens of flowers. Also known as summer aster. Ht. 25–34". Avg. 12,200 seeds/oz. Packet: 100 seeds.
DAYS TO GERMINATION:10-14 days at 70-72°F (21-22°C)

SOWING:Transplant (recommended) - Sow 1/8" deep into 72-cell flats or preferred seedling container, 6-8 weeks before last frost. Heat and reduced daylength initiate flowering. Establish plantings early to avoid short stems. Direct seed - After your last frost date and when soil temperature is 65-70°F (18-21°C). Provide support. Row cover or insect netting helps prevent the spread of Aster Yellows Virus by leafhoppers. Pinching not required.
