Best purple Gomphrena for cut flowers.
1 1/2" blooms on long stems. We have found the QIS™ (Quality in Seed) Series to be the best choice for cut-flower production for its stem quality, length, and uniformity. Also known as globe amaranth and common globe amaranth. Ht. 18–28". Avg. 10,400 seeds/oz. Packet: 50 seeds.
DAYS TO GERMINATION:5-14 days at 70-78°F (21-26°C)

SOWING:Transplant - Sow 6-8 weeks before last frost. Cover seed lightly with about 1/8" growing media. Keep soil surface moist. Transplant to cell packs or larger containers about 3 weeks after sowing. Transplant outside after danger of frost has passed. Direct seeding is not recommended.

LIGHT PREFERENCE:Sun.

PLANT HEIGHT:18-28".

PLANT SPACING:6-8". No pinching or support is necessary.

HARDINESS ZONES:Annual.

HARVEST:Fresh: Harvest when flowers are in color but before fully open. Dried: Harvest when flowers are completely open; hang to dry.

SOIL REQUIREMENTS:Any soil with good drainage.

USES:Cut flower or bedding plant.
